They’ve done a nice job obscuring the information with those fat arrows. Their “slope” seems to be meaningless (note that unemployment isn’t even strictly increasing with decreasing educational attainment – see doctoral vs professional). Why not just connect the dots, so to speak? A pretty nice idea very poorly executed.
